Glossary of Terms

This glossary contains definitions used by the Project Change Frame® and other methodologies supported by Lindsay McKenna Limited.

A number of definitions are taken from the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK®) from the Project Managment Institute. These are denoted by having (PMI) at the end of the definition..

Hammock
An aggregate or summary activity. (A group of related activities is displayed as one and reported at a summary level.) (PMI)
Handover
Delivery of the Outputs from the Project and responsibility for their maintenance to the Customer.
Hanger
An unintended break in the network path. Hangers are usually caused by missing activities or logical relationships. (PMI)
Histogram
Similar to a Bar Chart with no spaces between the bars. It is suitable for presenting data gathered from continuous variables.
