Glossary of Terms
This glossary contains definitions used by the Project Change Frame® and other methodologies supported by Lindsay McKenna Limited.
A number of definitions are taken from the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK®) from the Project Managment Institute. These are denoted by having (PMI) at the end of the definition..
- Quality
- The totality of characteristics of an entity that bear on its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs. (PMI)
- Quality Assurance (QA)

- The process of evaluating overall project performance on a regular basis to provide confidence that the project will satisfy the relevant quality standards. (PMI)
- The organisational unit that is assigned responsibility for quality assurance. (PMI)
- Quality Planning
- Identifying what quality standards are relevant to the project, and then determining how to achieve them.
